Some test takers are better in some forms of questions but not in another. The research of what type of questions may appear in the test is important and you can answer them correctly by practicing well.

To be able to answer all of the questions on the examination, do not use up a great deal of time on a particular question. Try to develop a different technique of approach for every kind of an PHR question.

Flashcards can be a great study method for questions that ask you to recite facts, such as true or false or multiple choice questions. You should find out if guessing at these types of questions will hurt your examination score or not.

For more complex questions like short answers, essays, or reading comprehension, what's being measured is your knowledge and comprehension of broader ideas.

Do include any relevant critical concepts in your answer even when you are uncertain of specific details. It will show your knowledge on basic ideas and it can potentially improve your score on those kinds of questions.

Various kinds of questions have various point values in several of the PHR tests. That will mean that brief answers and multiple choice questions will earn you less points than the more complicated questions will. Therefore, be aware of that and don't invest a lot of time on the shorter questions, instead give much more time to those that will earn you more points.

On exam day, keep in mind to go through the entire list of questions and opt for those that you can answer instantly. After that you can work on those problems that require extra time or you aren't sure of. This will let you solve a larger number of problems before the stipulated time expires.
