1. Food allergies: Usually when you hear of food allergies, people think of an immediate response. Very rarely do people associate a subtle delayed symptom to a problem with a food. However a headache, sinus congestion, even eczema can be delayed responses of a food allergy.

Although wheat and dairy are common foods that cause delayed allergies, there are many others that can as well. Soy, tomatoes, even sugar can lead to problems like a headache or sinus congestion. Baby eczema could very well be caused by a problem with a food in your baby's diet.

2. Pet Allergies: Allergy symptoms can show up in many different ways. Common symptoms are sneezing, itchy eyes and nasal congestion, but they can present themselves in other forms as well, including eczema. Going through allergy testing is the best way to find out if your baby is allergic to an animal.

3.Environmental Irritants: Detergents, cigarette smoke, household dust and other irritants can also cause baby eczema. You can keep a log of what baby is exposed to and discover if any of these items are a problem, or you can choose to do allergy testing to find out what might be the reason.

There are hypo-allergenic detergents and mild cleansers on the market that can help reduce eczema symptoms as well if your baby has sensitive skin.
